Halkapınar Pond Revitalization Project

Halkapınar Pond, one of the important water resources in Izmir, is described as the place where the father of history, Herodotus, stated that the goddess of fertility Artemis (Diana) came with the fairies and bathed in its hot springs every day (Diana Baths). With the proposed project, Halkapınar Pond will be reclaimed for the city, and an ecological corridor will be created from Mount Nif to the Gulf of Izmir.
